My philosophy of teaching art is based on the idea that all students possess a creative and natural enthusiasm when learning about and creating art. I strive to establish a productive classroom, as well as an atmosphere where all children feel safe and comfortable. this environment will enable students to express themselves with confidence.
I approach the study and creation of art as a basic discipline. Art is a discipline that has its place alongside math, science, social studies and language arts. In fact, I firmly believe in the integration of the study of art with all other areas of the curriculum. Also, art is something that all cultures throughout the world participate in and is an essential part of humanity. It is my realization of this important fact that motivates me to strive for excellence as an art teacher.
The arts are fundamental resources through which the world is viewed, meaning is created and the mind is developed".
